This is just a lonnggggg list of all the information I have been told ... (so i don't loose it)

• in 2013 there are new immigration rules making it harder
• EMGS  - Education Malaysia Global Services  - where i get my Student pass and Visa
• NO RESITS ALLOWED
• Student Pass - declaration form, 4 passport photos (blue background, 50mm x 35mm), 3 photocopies of my passport (including all the blank pages), proof of payment (RM 1,500 - £323)
• June  - Malaysia offer letter (need to reply) - needed when travelling 
• Early august - Approval to study letter - immigration - needed when travelling 
• Passport photos = Visa - 2, Medical - 1, Registration - 2, Student Pass - 4, Spare - 2
• Health Examination - Day after arrival for examination - international office, Health insurance paid by Campus- They will be testing for; HIV/Aids, Hepatitis B/C, Japanese E, Cancer, SARS/Avian Flu, Dialysis, illegal drugs etc... 
• Finance 
• Visa = RM 1000 (£216)
• UNMC int. dtudent fee = RM 1000 (£216) = RM500 - apply for student pass/ RM500 = when on campus 
• 750 cheque in summer for study abroad and 750-500 cheque dependent on income
• Need to send to Stu. Finance - exact dates of departure, destination etc... Uni will confirm 
• On arrival - 
• Collect/buy bedding 
• (+44 - Phone home )
• Attend registration and inductions
• Report to International Office 
• Sign up to tours 
• Internet is slow
• provided with lockable drawers 
• seal all food
• mobile phone shops on campus - 5p per minute after midnight calls to the UK
• 24 hour comp. rooms 
• food stalls (8am till 2am)
• Dont drink the tap water 
• Free Gym 
• 60% Muslims = no alcohol or pork 
• Stay away from stray dogs
• Transport = 
• Thursday and Friday bus to Tesco 
• KL = 1 hour in taxi ( £12 - RM60) or Campus to Kajong train station and get the KTM train = 2 hours 2 RM = 2/3 hours bus 
• Semenyih - 24 hour restaurants bars and shops 
• Kajong - 2 shopping centres , Mc'Donalds, Starbucks 
• Vibrant night life = book return with the same cab driver 
• Midvalley Megamall stop  
• £1 = 4RM
• Food = (5-8 RM)
• Laundry = (RM3 per load)
• train station to campus - (RM25)
• Student Finance - Travel Grant - receipts - reimbursed
• Accomadation - not slef-catered (tiny kitchen
• Acomadation offer will be sent by email - reply quickly
